What is Nicecream?

Nicecream is the world’s first & only frozen dessert made entirely from fruit!

We are honoured to be the very first retailer to carry this amazing frozen dessert back in 2017. We saw Brooke’s passion and how beneficial it would be to have this product available to those with allergies and food sensitivities. Chimp Treats started in a similar way to Jo Anne’s Place…Jo Anne saw a health need and took the initiative. Read owner and manager Brooke’s story…




“I started Chimp Treats in my last year at Trent University. I was a varsity runner, competitive cheerleader, and passionate vegan training 20-30 hours a week. Needless to say, nutrition and fitness were always top of mind, and I was always on the lookout for truly healthy products that tasted great (aren’t we all?). I found a recipe for ‘nicecream’ online, a dish claiming to taste like soft serve ice cream but made entirely from bananas, with nothing else added. 


It was love at first bite. 


I was shocked that I couldn’t buy Nicecream in grocery stores and I knew that if the world could try Nicecream, they would go bananas. In the beginning stages, we came up against countless manufacturing obstacles, and spent a full year developing the amazing process we use today to turn three ingredients (bananas, mangoes, and strawberries) into ultra-healthy, delicious frozen desserts that are undoubtedly the healthiest pints in the aisle.”

​Each pint of Nicecream contains only the freshest and tastiest fruits whipped into a sweet and creamy frozen delight. With only one or two ingredients, Nicecream is naturally low-calorie (50-60 cal/serve) and fat free, with no added sugar, so you can enjoy it by the pint, and feel great about the healthy choice you’re making!

Folks who are gluten-free should not have to miss out on the joy of Easter baking! These sugar cookies can be easily made with what you already have on hand and delicious enough to please gluten-free and non gluten-free eaters alike! INGREDIENTS COOKIES: 3/4 cup of salted butter, softened to room temperature but not melted (vegan substitute can be used) 1-1/2 cups sugar 2 large eggs 1-1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract 2-3/4 cups gluten-free flour blend with binder (such as Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free 1-to-1 Baking Flour) 3/4 teaspoons of baking powder A heaping 1/4 teaspoon of salt FROSTING: 1/2 cup softened vegan butter OR 1 can of coconut cream or milk 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract 1-2 cups of powdered sugar 1 splash of preferred milk 1 packet of natural food colouring OR BERRY GLAZE: 1 cup berries fresh or frozen (you can use one kind or a medley) 1½ cups powdered sugar, sifted 1 teaspoon of vanilla paste or extract 1-4 tablespoons of water, cream, milk, or citrus juice Water or citrus juice will produce a deeper colour, while cream will produce a lighter pastel glaze!
